Training Course
11-14 April 2024 | Echternach, Luxembourg
Our society is facing many crises that directly affect our wellbeing. We are dealing with a new type of stress, whilst struggling with unprecedented fear, uncertainty, and more demands placed before us on a daily basis. Therefore it is important to begin with taking care of our own wellbeing as youth work professionals to navigate the challenging and uncertain times in our world.
This short training course is focussed on increasing wellbeing for youth workers.
It is targeted towards youthworkers, youth leaders, youth coaches and mentors.
Aim
This training course aims to build competences for youth workers and youth leaders on developing and maintaining wellbeing in their personal and professional life.
Objectives
This training course focuses specifically on the wellbeing of an individual working in the youth work sector. It is not concerning learning about strategies on how to support young people in their wellbeing needs.
Taking time to reflect on and create awareness of the context that youth workers are working in, we will explore the qualities and characteristics needed to engage in life and youth work in a meaningful way.
Time will be dedicated to practicing self care and building selfcare plans to avoid burn-out or stagnation and promote wellbeing, leading to increased energy and quality in their life and youth work practice.
