Training Course

The project aims to promote youth participation and raise awareness in legal challenges on environmental matters and equip participants with tools and knowledge to be able to advocate for their rights.

Aim of the project:
The project aims to promote youth participation and raise awareness in legal challenges on environmental matters, to mobilize young people to be actively engaged in policy and decision making, to equip participants with tools and knowledge to be able to advocate for their rights and involvement in the process of creating, implementation and intervention in the field of environmental law and further the implementation and enforcement of existing legal obligations stemming from international, EU and national environmental law.

Objectives:

  • Participants competencies will be increased and through participants, partner organizations’ capacity will be fostered 
  • Participants’ campaigning and communication skills will be enhanced 
  • Participants will be encouraged to be engaged in decision and policy making 
  • Necessary tools and knowledge for advocacy will be provided 
  • By connecting youth activists from developing and developed countries, a network of concerned and motivated youth activists with expertise will be established 
  • Awareness of existing environmental issues and policy will be increased

Via interactive sessions, desired objectives of the project will be met: 

  • Empowered youth in climate litigation 
  • Young people enriched with tools and knowledge to advocate for environmental protection and their rights 
  • Network of youth activists and young lawyers from developed and developing countries to act together against the weak implementation of the green deal and further implementation of existing legal obligations
  • Raised awareness on how to access legal processes and knowledge 
  • Capacity building for adaptation action, skills development and participation in local, national, regional, and international climate changes processes

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

100% of accommodation, food and transportation during the exchange will be covered with the support of International Visegrad Fund.

Visa and travel costs will be reimbursed after we receive all the documents, receipts and tickets.

It is necessary for participants to have travel and health insurance (not covered by the project).
