This seminar is designed for youth workers, community leaders and educators, who want to empower young citizens in democratic participation. It focuses on media literacy and combating disinformation through bottom-up community initiatives.

This interactive online seminar is designed for youth workers, educators, and professionals in the field of non-formal learning who are committed to empowering young citizens in democratic participation. Participants will engage in an in-depth exploration of strategies to foster media literacy, strengthen democratic dialogue, and combat disinformation in youth communities.

The seminar will provide practical insights into bottom-up community fact-checking, equipping youth workers with methodologies to support young people in critically evaluating information and identifying false narratives. Special attention will be given to peer-led initiatives, offering replicable models that encourage active youth engagement in democratic debates.

A key highlight of the seminar will be the multiplier of the EUCOMMvsDISINFO project outcomes (CIV-101081403), showcasing innovative tools and resources that can be adapted to different community contexts.
