The seminar will enhance awareness, inspiration, skill development and provide tools for youth workers to understand and implement the EU sustainability competence framework, the EU Green Deal, Circular Economy Action Plan, and Social Economy Action Plan.

Aim

This activity aims to create space for youth workers and youth organizations to learn about the EU sustainability competence framework, social innovations, green economy and green jobs, as well as, the integration of the vulnerable groups.

Objectives

  • Raise awareness and competencies of youth workers to teach and share knowledge about social and green economy, green skills, green jobs, using the EU sustainability competence framework;
  • Equip youth workers with knowledge, skills and tools to realize youth work projects in in a more environmentally responsible way in the framework of Erasmus+ and EU sustainability competence framework;
  • Showcase and share practices of social businesses and environmentally responsible enterprises and ways of integration of vulnerable groups in the green economy;
  • Foster networking and cooperation between youth organizations and youth workers to continue to work on green economy, green skills and green jobs, in the framework of Erasmus + and the EU sustainability competence framework;

Target Group

The activity is recommended for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Youth policy makers, Youth researchers, and professionals representing various fields of the market that:

  • are interested in EU sustainability competence framework, social innovations, green economy and green jobs, as well as, the integration of the vulnerable groups.

Expected Outcomes

As a result we would expect that participants become more conscious of their own impact on the environment (and society) and they are able to use their skills and knowledge gained in order to run projects in a more sustainable way and also inspire new projects that will be continued after the seminar. We would like to create and expand the community of like-minded youth workers that are passionate about creating a social and environmentally responsible society and connect them with other communities from different sectors in order to strengthen the social movement.
