WHERE IS MY MIND? - Identity and self-awareness

Training Course

26 August - 3 September 2024 | Vinci, Italy

It is a TC with a focus on exploring identity and self-awareness through a combination of creativity, art, and psychological methods such as Transactional Analysis and Non Violent Communication and strategies for personal and professional development.

The training course "WHERE IS MY MIND?" is designed for youth workers with a focus on exploring identity and selfawareness through a combination of creativity, art, and psychological methods such as Transactional Analysis (TA) and Non Violent Communication (NVC).

Identity encompasses the memories, experiences, relationships, and values that create one's sense of self.

This amalgamation creates a steady sense of who one is over time, even as new facets are developed and incorporated into one's identity.
It is strongly associated with self-concept, self-image (one's mental model of oneself), self-esteem, and individuality.
The process of self-discovery and the exploration of one's identity and potential through psychological and creative/artistic tools are interconnected with mental health issues in youth in Europe in several ways: enhancing self-awareness, building a positive self-image, developing coping mechanisms and stress reduction, create validation and self-acceptance, development of resilience, sense of purpose and meaning, prevention of Isolation, free expression of emotions.

"WHERE IS MY MIND?" aims to create a transformative learning experience that combines the power of creativity and psychology to support youth workers in guiding young individuals toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.

This transformative project aims to establish a solid foundation of self-awareness and self-acceptance among participants, fostering an environment where strengths and weaknesses are recognized.
The goal is to cultivate a positive internal dialogue and self-motivation, shaping a positive self-image. Beyond individual growth, participants will gain valuable techniques for enhancing self-care and mental well-being.

The ripple effect of this personal development extends to the youth work environment, as participants become multipliers of positive change.
Equipped with newfound insights, they will share these empowering methods with colleagues in their respective organizations, contributing to overall well-being, in activities involving youth especially.

This training aims to equip participants with essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes for effective youth work and personal growth.
It focuses on enhancing emotional skills, recognizing emotions and behavior, and promoting a redefined perspective on self.

Please take note: Prior to attending, carefully review the information provided and ensure you are genuinely open to sharing about yourself and engaging with emotional topics.

Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to those who can commit to treating the entire training period as a personal retreat, totally immersing themselves in the natural setting alongside fellow participants. (Please refer to the attached Infopack for details on accommodation).
