9-11 April 2024 | Youth Centre Piispala, Finland

3-day seminar for youth workers who are interested to learn new ways to support their own well-being and trough that strengthen their professional skills and abilities as youth workers.

The Seminar takes place in Youth Centre Piispala, Kannonkoski, Central Finland 8.4-12.4.2024. Monday 8.4 and Friday 12.4 are travel days. Seminar programme is on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The seminar is aimed at youth workers. To do their job well and support young people, youth workers also need to take care of their own well-being. The purpose of this seminar is to enable youth workers to focus on their own well-being and to find new ways to support it. In this seminar, we will focus on the well-being effects of nature. Programme of seminar includes  work shops and practical activities. In this seminar we are learning by doing so the main focus is on activities outside in the nature.

The seminar will also enable participants to create international networks for future co-operation. There is going to be Intercultural event where you can share snacks of your country, tell or present work of you organization and mingle to visit tables of other organisations.

Piispala is the biggest of the eight national Youth Centres in Finland. Our mission is to promote youth activities and support the good life of children and young people. We also serve as a versatile centre of leisure, sports and wellbeing for families, seniors, businesses and sports groups. Our main target group is camp schools.
We conduct and develop youth work on regional, national and international level. On international level we carry out ESC and Erasmus+ projects.

Costs

Participation fee

There is no participation fee. 

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and food are fully covered by the Erasmus+ programme. 

Travel reimbursement

All participants will be reimbursed the travel costs according to the official distance calculator for EU projects. We are using Erasmus+ funding of 2023. We will inform participants about the maximum travel reimbursement amount when selecting participants. 

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
