We BELIEVE in Unity Together!

Training Course

12-19 May 2014 | Prishtina, KOSOVO * UN RESOLUTION

We BELIEVE in Unity Together! is a training course for youth leaders and youth workers and its aims is to promote tolerance and mutual understanding amongst youth of different communities and religions. We look to shed light on the importance of dialogue.
Training course tackles topics, which are most relevant to the theme of inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue. The main aim of our TC is to promote dialogue and collaboration amongst individuals belonging to multi-cultural and multi-religious communities. The TC promotes increased tolerance and mutual understanding amongst our participants and aims to increase their awareness and skills in working with religious diversity topics in multi-religious/multi-cultural environments. During the TC we will focus on trying to indicate possible methods to deal with problems related to negative stereotypes and xenophobia. We think it is very importance in the work of youth leaders that they know how to deal with religious conflict situations and so the programme is filled with practical examples, which will direct the participants to share their own ideas on managing these situations. The project should create recognition of the dire need of inter-religious dialogue in today’s day and age since it is a result of a history of conflicts. The main objectives of this TC are: To promote and foster mutual understanding among participants To share ideas and best practices on inter religious dialogue To try and find tools to fight stereotypes and prejudices among participants To equip participants with tools that they can use in their youth work with different cultures and religions To explore culture and cultural identity To equip participants with abilities, and skills on how to manage conflicts arising within the theme To increment the cooperation between SEE and EU countries and to raise the awareness and understanding of their differences and similarities To create partnerships between youth workers who share common interests in a European context To promote non formal learning and Youth in Action program as a tool for inter religious and intercultural dialogue Thus, we meet the general objectives, permanent and annual priorities of the Erasmus + and YiA Programme.
