V4 Seminar "Youth for Democracy"

The V4 seminar "Youth for Democracy" is organised in frame of the Polish Presidency in Visegrad Group. It will be aimed to advance youth participation, democratic engagement, and international youth cooperation.

The V4 seminar "Youth for Democracy" offers a space for youth workers and activists to engage in meaningful discussions and activities.  The seminar will focus on the civic engagement of youth in V4 and EaP countries and putting democracy into action. The seminar in Warsaw will be an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your activities and initiatives while contributing to the larger conversation surrounding Democracy & European values.  

Learning objectives of the seminar:

  • Empower young people to become active citizens and engage in democratic processes.
  • Enhance international cooperation to improve the quality of youth participation through programs like Erasmus+
  • Focus on crucial topics such as democratic youth participation and the promotion of European values.
  • Foster collaboration and networking among youth activists from V4 and EaP countries

Throughout the event, participants will connect with civil society activists and opinion leaders from the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership region.

Who Should Apply?

We invite enthusiastic young leaders aged 18+ from Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Eastern Partnership countries. Whether you are involved in a youth organization, a student passionate about civic engagement, or a young professional working in youth policy, we welcome your application.

Costs

Participation fee

Participants from Eastern Partnership countries will not pay participation fee. Participants from the V4 countries are requested to contact their National Agency in order to clarify this issue. It will depend on each NA's policy.

Accommodation and food

The hosting SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus together with Polish National Agency will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food. 

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your National Agency (NA) or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses. 

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
