Training Course
10-21 July 2023 | Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Funded through Erasmus+, the program offers a platform for practitioners in transformative education to share and learn from each other from July 10th to July 21st in 2023 in Germany. Results and tools developed during the seminar will be published online and made available to participants’ organisations.
We have extended the application deadline for participants from North Macedonia and the Netherlands to April 15th 2023, at midnight CET! CLICK HERE TO APPLY.
This year’s edition is the first, meaning that we are focused on bringing together a small team of about 24 folks from Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Bosnia Herzegovina, Greece and North Macedonia. We are embracing a broad definition of transformative education, focusing on its ability to accommodate lifelong learning and use of nonformal methods. The Transformative Education Hub (TrED) aims to encourage productive exchanges from all backgrounds in education: art-based learning, experiential learning, project-based learning… TrED’s uniting feature is its commitment to explore and create new ways of engaging with young people and pressing global issues – from human rights to climate action.
In terms of content, the curriculum is created prior to the course by the team of participants through online collaboration. Themes will include pedagogical approaches, safeguarding policies, online methods, community building and organisational sustainability. The curriculum is then implemented during the project week in July.
If any of those questions has struck a cord, we would love to have you on board! This is a unique opportunity to learn from practionners sharing your drive to build youth mobilisation and use methods that might be different to yours.
This project is made possible through the institutional support of United World Colleges Deutschland but remains independent otherwise. Travels and accommodations are covered.
