Train the trainer: Empowering trainers in NFE

Training Course

22-30 June 2025 | Varna, Bulgaria

A training course suitable for youth workers starting their journey in facilitation and training, exploration of non-formal learning principles, methods and their practical application

“Empowering trainers in NFE” is a dynamic 7-day training course designed for youth workers at the beginning of their facilitation journey. Through a practical and engaging program, you’ll explore the principles of non-formal education (NFE), strengthen your core skills as a trainer, and gain the confidence to lead inspiring learning experiences for young people.

You won’t just sit and listen—you’ll try out new tools, receive peer feedback, and learn by doing, all within a supportive and intercultural environment.

Objectives of the Training

  • Explore the world of non-formal education and understand how to implement NFE methods in youth work;
  • Develop key facilitation skills such as group management, public speaking, debriefing, giving instructions, and handling group dynamics;
  • Build confidence through practice – you’ll have the chance to apply what you learn during practical sessions and receive constructive feedback;
  • Foster intercultural exchange and build professional connections with youth workers from across Europe;
