International training for facilitators of youth Projects
For the second time, Haus am Maiberg and Interactive organize training for facilitators of youth projects. It is open for people having experience in working with youth and are willing to discuss principals and methods of non‐formal education in youth work. During the Training participants try out, discuss and evaluate approaches that aim to promote interaction, active participation and self‐reflection of young people. The German‐Russian training consist of three modules. The first module will take part in September 2015; in Haus am Maiberg, Centre for Citizenship Education. Between September and August 2016, participants gain practical experience taking part in one youth Exchange within the team of facilitators. In September 2016, we will meet for final seminar to reflect the practical experience gained in between the meetings. Completing the training, participants will get two certificates: the German widely known Juleica certificate for youth facilitators and a Russian certificate for facilitating. The training provides places for sixteen participants from Germany and Russia. The Project aims to empower young people to facilitate especially in youth exchanges in the future. Previous experience in facilitating is welcomed but not mandatory. We are very excited to organize this training for the second time and we will be happy to meet you there! The team of trainers: Stephan Schwieren, Mikhail Zhukov Module 1: Training from 11. until 16. September 2015 in Haus am Maiberg In the program: -(My) group? To see and understand live of young people  -Working with a group  -International work requirements: language and multilingualism  -Principles, objectives and methods of non‐formal education  -Moderating in the non‐formal education I – Basics  -Making a program: aims, content, methods  -See difference – practice and promote diversity‐conscious attitude  -Project management for (international) youth work ‐ From the idea to the report; The module consist 10 units for 3 hours (30 hours in total). Module 2: Practical experience between September 2015 and August 2016 Between the first and the third module, all participants should take part in one international youth Exchange with the team of facilitators in a frame of internship. It should last around six days and the dates willbe chosen after the first module. Interactive and Haus am Maiberg offer possibility to take part in youth exchanges planned by them for this period of time. The practical experience can be also in a different venue (after consulting it with the trainers). Modul 2 will include some smaller tasks on an e‐learning platform. Module 3: Training in September 2016 in Moscow In the program:  -How to facilitate the group?  -Competencies: selecting and implementing the methods  -Moderating in the non‐formal education II  -Communication techniques and dealing with conflicts  -Diversity‐conscious attitude – deepening  -Develop and implement ideas: make youth work competently and creatively  -Funding for (international) youth work; The training will be supported by Foundation of German-Russian Youth Exchange, Institute of Study of Childhood, Family and Education of the Russian Academy of Education and the ministry of social affairs of the state of Hesse.

Costs

Meeting in September 2015: Fee for participants living in Germany: 60 € for accommodation, meals and program. No travel cost reimbursement. There is no fee for participants living in Estonia and Russia but they have to cover the travel costs themselves. Meeting in September 2016: Fee for participants living in Germany: 150 € for accommodation, meals, program, insurance and travel costs. Participants from Estonia have no fee but cover travel costs themselves. Participants from Russia pay a fee of 60€ for accommodation, meals and program, no travel cost reimbursement.
