A training course to upskill-upgrade-update competences and understanding of Intercultural Learning and Cultural Diversity

"Threads 2025: Weaving Intercultural Futures” strives to explore the changing dynamics of intercultural learning and cultural diversity, reflecting on past approaches while envisioning future possibilities.

The main aim od the training is to enhance participants' competences in facilitating intercultural learning and promoting cultural diversity, with a focus on evolving practices and applying these concepts to everyday contexts.

Objectives:

  • Explore Evolution: To reflect on how the concepts of intercultural learning and cultural diversity have evolved over time in the fields of education and non-formal learning.
  • Build Competences: To provide participants space for upgrading their competences - with advanced methods, approaches to address intercultural learning in their professional and personal contexts.
  • Daily-Life Perspective: To encourage participants to integrate intercultural thinking and actions into their everyday lives (“think daily, think interculturally”).
  • Collective Vision: To co-create and envision innovative approaches to intercultural learning that align with current and future societal needs.

Methodologies

Through non-formal learning approaches, collective thinking/reflections, participants will be involved with engaging methodologies, exchange of (good/bad) practices, and co-create new perspectives on intercultural learning.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Strengthen individual competences and innovative approaches in intercultural contexts.
  • Deepen understanding of the evolution of intercultural changes in societies and acquire new tools.
  • Recognize triggers and strengths in intercultural contexts in daily life and modern work environments.
  • Reinforce the international network of youth and social workers by sharing best practices and ideas.

Participants Profile:

This training course is designed for educators, trainers, youth workers, facilitators and other professionals who are committed to fostering intercultural understanding and inclusivity in their work and daily lives.

  • Age: 18 and older.
  • Interested in intercultural contexts.
  • Creative and open-minded.
  • Eager to engage with other youth workers and cultures.
  • Motivated to enhance their intercultural competencies and share learning experiences with an international group.
  • Proficient in English.

Priority will be given to economically or geographically disadvantaged participants.

Partinciants will be hosted  in Lecce city center

Participation fee

There is no participation fee

Accommodation and food

The food and accomodation will be provided by the hosting organization.

Travel reimbursement

The travel costs will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ Program guide. The exact reimbursement limits can be seen in the info-pack.
