The Power of Non Formal Education

Training Course

1-6 October 2024 | Bucharest, Romania

Improving the impact of Non Formal Education (NFE), principles and methods in creating empowerment opportunities for young people as real actors of the society (from local to Europe).

The Power of Non Formal Education is an adventurous, challenging and exciting training course based on pro-active participation of the participants. Together we work on different aspects and quality elements of non formal education.

We are looking for youth workers, youth leaders and other actors in the youth field, that work directly with young people. The TC is for those who already have experience with Erasmus+ Youth and newcomers to the Programme.

Objectives
* To stimulate the participants to feel and reflect about the power of NFE by experiencing different kind of methods used in non formal education
* To analyse the role and perception of NFE in our different countries within a common Europe
* To understand how methods can be used within NFE to promote cultural diversity and  intercultural learning (ICL)
* To fight against the growing consuming approaches towards young people in the non formal educational field and to work on their real active participation
* To explore meanings, roles and complementarities of different educational approaches (formal, non formal, informal)
* To reconsider daily youth work practices
* To understand the principles of NFE within Erasmus+ and its effects on elements as programme building etc.

This TC can also provide:
* An opportunity to meet possible partner groups and to make contacts in other countries, leaders, youth workers, local authorities etc.
