The training course project "Baltic cooperation: developing local youth policy together" will bring 32 participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland for a 7 day training course on regional youth policy development August 23 - 30, 2015.
The training course project "Baltic cooperation: developing local youth policy together" will bring 32 participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland for a 7 day training course on regional youth policy development to Lithuania August 23 - 30, 2015.
The project will gather various target groups: youth workers, municipal youth specialists, municipal youth coordinators, NGOs aiming to assure better cross-sectorial cooperation and create peer support groups at local level to achieve bigger impact to local policies directed at youth.

Training will take place at Training center DAUGIRDIŠKĖS www.daugirdiškės.lt
This project aims to:
- To share good practices of youth policy implementation at municipal level in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
- Train municipal specialist and youth workers to deal with youth issues, how to analyze youth situation, develop proposal for youth policy development at local level and provide tools how to advocate and promote youth policy innovations.
- To develop clear youth policy implementation and support schemes, based on youth situation, at specific municipalities were the participants will be coming from.
- To discuss trends, strategies, needs of youth policy making, youth participation, youth work in EU and project counties.
- To learn how to make youth policy and youth services attractive to youth with fewer opportunities and NEET’s.
The methodology of the training course will be based on principles of experiential learning, developing skills and attitudes of participants, taking into account their previous experiences as well as providing with new experiences and inputs from existing international practice in the field of youth policy implementation.
