SYNC Meeting, Serbia 2025

Partnership-building Activity

7-11 April 2025 | Belgrade, Serbia

A meeting for representatives of Southern National Youth Councils (SNYC) is being organized to foster collaboration among the councils, identify shared challenges, and propose effective solutions to address common issues.

This gathering aims to strengthen the network and promote a more unified approach to the region's youth-related matters.

In parallel, representatives from Southern National Agencies (NAs) will gather to enhance cooperation, exchange best practices, and work collectively to advance the youth sector across Southern European countries through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programmes.

Furthermore, a joint session will bring together SNYC and NA representatives, providing a unique opportunity to discuss the future direction of these programmes and explore ways to strengthen the EU Youth Dialogue mechanism.

Over 30 participants from various countries will gather in Serbia to actively contribute to discussions aimed at achieving the following objectives:

  • Strengthening communication and collaboration among SNYC members;
  • Reviewing and discussing reports from the SNYC coordination trio;
  • Operationalising the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU);
  • Enhancing communication between SNYC members and the European Youth Forum (EYF);
  • Preparing for the upcoming General Assembly of the European Youth Forum (EYF);
  • Discussing the future of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programmes, with a focus on their potential to better support youth sectors in Southern European countries;
  • Exploring strategies to strengthen the EU Youth Dialogue and its role in shaping youth policies at the European level;
  • Enhancing cooperation and communication between SNYC members and National Agencies (NAs) in Southern Europe;
  • Gaining insights into youth work practices in Serbia.
