Study Visit : Sustainable and creative green models involving young people

Study Visit

13-18 May 2025 | Louvain-la-Neuve and region, Belgium - FR

Curious to discover green and sustainable initiatives in FR speaking part of Belgium & discuss with Eur. colleagues? Eager to talk about your youth realities, but also see if things are adaptable to your action field? Then this study visit is for you.

In the context of climate challenges and environmental degradation, intitiatives are born and demonstrate a lot of creativity and opportunities for young people to participate, learn and eventually also be creative or even find jobs in this sector.

We would like to invite you to come, see and discuss these initiatives, but also have a look at what is going on in your countries and have a broader view of what is possible to adapt or not.

And we hope that from here, new international collaboration projects can be set up…

The objectives of this Study Visit are :

  • To compare practices and field of action of the participants at level of green initiatives ;
  • To discover what is going on in the French speaking part of Belgium (Federation Wallonie-Brussels) about sustainable and creative green initiatives involving young people;
  • To reflect about some transferability in the field of action of the participants ;
  • To give the opportunity to the participants to create partnerships for new European projects.

Profile of participants :

  • Aged 18+
  • Youth workers, educators, youth project leaders and social workers involved directly with young people in the field of environment or sustainable green living;
  • Local authorities representatives interested in developping new youth initiatives in the field of environment or sustainable green living ;
  • Ready to fully participate to the activity ;
  • Interested in developping international cooperation in these fields ;
  • Able to work in English.

The activity will be divided between exchanges of the diverses practices, field visits with debriefing and a common conclusion of what we can do with all this. A partnership building moment will also take place.
