The course aims to representatives of national youth umbrella organizations from four countries to compare different national strategies to join Erasmus+

 

An action-based training course for youth councils / youth organizations in political campaign building.

DESCRIPTION

Strengthen European Chances for Young People" is an international training course that builds on a partnership between youth umbrella organizations created in the past pilot training course "To make an impact - Improving the conditions for youth work" in winter 21/22. The course aims to representatives of national youth umbrella organizations from four countries to support their skills, knowledge and competence in designing, organizing and implementing strategies campaigns. The idea for this course was born after the first training camp where a broad networking and exchange of ideas took place to improve the political conditions for youth work in relation to European exchange programs and their access. In order to achieve this, the course will bring together motivated representatives from national youth umbrella organizations to jointly create tools and steps for such campaigns. The product of the course will be jointly developed strategies that will be implemented afterwards.

  • 3 participants from European Students Union (Belgium, Faroe Island a.o.)
  • 3 participants from Northern Ireland Youth Council (Northern Ireland)
  • 4 participants from SAJV / VSS-UNES-USU / Intermundo (Switzerland) / ESN Switzerland

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS

Representatives of umbrella organizations of youth councils and organizations from the participating countries that have a direct need to improve their strategy and practice in political campaign building.

METHODS

Exchange of best practices, non-formal, and interactive working setting: This training course is focusing on exploration of resources through group work, individual work and plenary working sessions. The course is actionbased and will result in the design and implementation of national political campaigns.

DATES AND VENUE: 6 Days (including travel days): 28th November – 3rd December 2022. The group venue “Weitblick-Haus” (Panorama House) is located in Guggisberg, in the mountains of Switzerland, around 1h trainride from the capital Bern and 2h from Zurich Airport.

INSURANCE AND VISA: All participants are responsible for their travel and health insurance. Participants that need a visa for Switzerland are asked to contact the local Swiss embassy and the hosting organization of this training course as soon as they got approved as participants.

COVID-19 REGULATIONS: We will (according to the newest situation), together with our partners, decide in what form and under what circumstances the training course will be executed. All regulations of the hosting and participating countries will be respected.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING COURSE

- To review the past year and the first training camp, regarding the Erasmus+ situation

- To compare different national strategies for countries to join Erasmus+

- To plan national campaigns

- To discuss how to involve the other EU or E+ member countries for more support.

- To create Documents for position papers of the organizations and submission of the organizations to the Ministers of Education.

- To develop a campaign for joining E+ 2025.

Participation fee of 100 EUR 

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and food during the training course will be covered by the hosting organization.

Travel reimbursement

80% of the travel costs of the participants  will be refunded after the completion of the training course.
