Training Course
16-22 February 2025 | Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
In today’s rapidly evolving digital age, young people require more than just technical skills—they need the tools to explore new career opportunities, adapt to emerging trends, and shape their own futures. This training course is based on the Youth Goal 7: Quality Employment for All, addressing the pressing need for young people to seamlessly transition from education to the labour market. Training course offers insights for youth workers and educators into the STEM education and digital work and entrepreneurship, aiming to improve skills of youth workers for empowering young people in exploring digital employment opportunities and digital entrepreneurship.
By introducing participants to the foundations of STEM and digital work opportunities such as virtual assistance, no-code programming, and self-employment in the digital space, this training goes beyond traditional learning. It aims to empower youth workers and educators to foster innovation, adaptability, and practical knowledge among young people, preparing them for the changing labour market. Through team building, career exploration, and the development of follow-up activities, this course encourages youth workers to create impactful educational opportunities that truly make a difference and empower young people to further explore digital work opportunities.
The training course is developed in line with Youth Goal 7: Quality Employment for All and contributes to:
Ensuring equal opportunities for all young people to develop the necessary skills and gain practical experience in order to smoothen the transition from education to the labour market.
Ensure equal access to quality information and adequate support mechanisms to prepare young people for the changing labour market and future of work.
The training course will be based on non-formal education and learning-by-doing methods. The first days of the training are dedicated to getting to know participants and team building, and understanding foundations of STEM and career exploration. Days 3 and 4 offer participants insights into different digital work opportunities: from virtual assistance to no-code programming and self-employment in digital environment. On the day 5 of the training course, participants will have a chance to jointly plan follow-up activities to be organised in their local communities.
By the end of the training course, participants are expected to improve their personal understanding, knowledge and skills about foundations of STEM and different career opportunities in the fields of digital entrepreneurship and self-employability.
