Sport as a Tool for Social Inclusion - LTA YouSports

Study Visit

25-29 November 2024 | Tunis, Tunisia

This study visit aims to gather youth workers and sport practitioners who are interested in learning more about sport as a tool for social inclusion, create projects under the Erasmus+ Youth programme and find potential partnerships for projects.

The study visit focuses on Social Sports, exploring how sports can facilitate learning, reflection, and the development of transferable skills for real-life situations. This study visit provides a platform for participants to practice and discuss innovative ways to use sport in non-formal settings with young people.

Objectives:

  • Pedagogical insights: Learn about using sport as an educational tool when working with young people.
  • Skill development: Enhance your knowledge and skills in usingutilizing sport for non-formal learning.
  • Best practices: Share and gain inspiration from successful Tunisian and international practices in using sport as a tool for social inclusion. 
  • Networking: Build connections with fellow participants for future collaborations on Erasmus + Projects.
  • Opportunities exploration: Discover possibilities within European Youth Programs and beyond for continued development and cooperation.

Participant profile:

Youth workers incorporating sports into their activities with young people, from basic to advanced levels.

Sport practitioners working with young people and seeking to maximise the impact of your sports activities.

Experienced professionals: youth workers or sport practitioners with a significant background in working with young people, aiming to achieve greater social impact through sports.

This study visit is part of the long-term activity YouSports. If you are passionate about using sport to make a difference in the lives of young people, this study visit is the perfect opportunity for you!

Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

There is no participation fee for applicants from Southern Mediterranean countries.

Accommodation and food

SALTO EuroMed will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your National Agency or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.

SALTO EuroMed will book and pay the flight tickets of selected applicants from Southern Mediterranean countries.
