SPI Harvesting Conference

Conference – Symposium - Forum

19-22 September 2023 | Budapest, Hungary

The harvesting conference is a two-day event for youngsters, youth workers, and NA officers, who are or would like to become involved in inclusion. It aims to harvest the impact of and the practices that engage with inclusion in the EU Youth Programmes.

Aims and objectives

The harvesting conference wants to celebrate inclusion by bringing together two groups of participants:

  • Young persons that are experienced or interested in participating in an Erasmus + or European Solidarity Corps project, and are engaged with inclusion.
  • Youth workers representing an organisation or informal group that is experienced or interested in implementing inclusive projects in the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps programmes.

The overall aim of the conference is to harvest the impact of and the practices that engage with working on inclusion and diversity in the EU Youth Programmes. The objectives are to...

  • ... provide inspiration to participate in Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps youth projects.
  • ... create a space for advocacy and co-creation.
  • ... learn to implement inclusion projects by sharing methods, tools, and approaches.
  • ... show the impact of inclusion projects by sharing (good) practices.

Approach

The conference will alternate between sessions for the full group and sessions per group of participants. While we created a draft programme (see downloads), we look forward to receiving your input to adapt the conference to your learning needs.

Profile

The seminar would like to bring together:

  • Young persons (18-30) that are experienced or interested in participating in an Erasmus + or European Solidarity Corps project. In addition, we expect that youngsters are engaged with inclusion and can reflect on societal barriers.
  • Youth workers representing an organisation or informal group that is experienced or interested in implementing inclusive projects in the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps programmes. In addition, we expect that youth workers are familiar with or interested in contributing to more inclusion.

Application procedure

  • You can apply via this form until 19 May 23:59 CET. We advise to apply in a delegation of young person and youth worker, but the form also allows to apply individually.
  • We strongly encourage you to bring a buddy. The buddy is an extra person you bring with you and can be either a young person or youth worker that isn’t experienced in the European Programmes for youth. The buddy doesn’t have to apply separately, just include the information in your application.
  • If you experience difficulties in accessing the form, we're happy to provide you with a screen reader-friendly version. Just send a mail to .

The national agencies will compose a delegation of +- 3 persons per country. You will be informed about the selection results by June 5th.

If you want more information on the measures we take to make this seminar inclusive, please download the additional information and documentation.
