Partnership-building Activity

The Activity explores the power of social sport as a tool for social inclusion. This event aims fostering collaborations between sports and youth work at both local and international levels, using social sport to enhance social cohesion.

As part of the training and cooperation activities (TCA) of the Erasmus+ Youth Programme, the Italian National Agency of the Erasmus+IYOUTH  Program (Agenzia Italiana per la Gioventù - AIG) is organizing the activity Social Sport as a Tool for Social Inclusion. Thia activity represents a unique opportunity for youth workers and sports managers working in the youth and/or sports sector to come together.

The Seminar/Partnership Building Activity (PBA) explores the power of social sport as a tool for social inclusion. This event aims to bridge local experiences with international perspectives, fostering collaborations between sports and youth work at both local and international levels. Together, we will delve into the potential of social sport to enhance social cohesion. The Seminar/Partnership Building Activity focuses on the framework of Social Sports to go beyond sports as a form of competition.

Objectives

  • Building Partnerships: Foster connections and partnerships among stakeholders involved in social sport and youth work.
  • Enhancing Knowledge: Increase awareness and understanding of YouSport SNAC and Erasmus + Program
  • Learning and Reflection: Reflect on social sport as a learning experience to improve the quality and impact of activities and projects.
  • Inspiration from Best Practices: Share international practices that can serve as inspiration for future projects and collaborations.
  • Exploring Partnership Opportunities: Provide space and opportunities for exchange about possible partnership and cooperation.

Programme Elements

Introduction to the PBA:

  • Scene-setting activities to facilitate mutual knowledge among participants, such as team-building sports activities.
  • Discussion on what social sport means to participants and how they can enhance its practice.

Understanding Social Sport:

  • Deep dive into the concept of social sport, exploring its definitions, benefits, and applications.
  • Interactive sessions on how to do more social sport and do it better.

Learning and Reflection:

  • Reflection on non-formal learning (NFL) through outdoor activities.
  • Dedicated reflection time for participants to contemplate their learning experiences and how to apply them in their contexts.

Inspirational International Practices:

  • Presentations and case studies of successful international social sport initiatives that can inspire new ideas and approaches.

Future Collaboration and Ideas:

  • Brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for future projects and collaborations in the field of social sport.

EU Programmes and Grant Funding:

  • Information sessions on Erasmus + Program.
  • Sharing experiences and practical tips on applying for and managing grants.

Round Table Discussion:

  • Engaging round table discussions focusing on EU and SNAC opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment for idea exchange.

Target Group

This seminar is designed for:

Coaches: Individuals involved in social sport coaching who are looking to enhance their impact.

Youth Workers: Professionals using social sport as a tool for non-formal educational activities aimed at youth development.

All the hosting costs and expences are covered by the Italina NA (AIG) thorugh the funds of the E+IYOUTH Program and the activity is orgainzed under the framework of the strategic long term cooperation among E+IYOUTH National Agencies in the Sport scetor (LTA YouSPort) coordinatied by the French NA.

Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Italian National Agency will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
