"Smiling Europe" is aimed to innovation on non formal education, improving the skills about the methods to use in order to foster anti-discrimination and inclusion. The main session will be an open Barcamp. BE READY, PARTICIPATE,SHARE AND SMILE.
"Smiling Europe" is a Partnership Building project. It has been meant to foster work and cooperatation in youth field, to be smart and innovative and to give our contribute towards European growth and social cohesion. We have thought that, by sharing experiences and good practices and thanks to the help of professional trainers, we can reach the objective of improving our competences and the quality of job as well as promoting the job carried out by youth workers. The project has also been thought to strenghten our network of organisations and build up new partnerships for further projects within the framework of Erasmus+ programme. The Countries taking part to the project are 6: Italy, Romania, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary. participants from Italy are already fixed, we are only looking for participants from the partner countries. There will be one organisation coming from each partner, with the exception of Romania that will be represented by 2 organisations. Each partner will select 4 participants (28 in total); there will be 3 trainers and 4 member staff. Participants will have to be youth workers and they will have to be overage. The activities will take place in an hotel based in Enna and they will last for 7 days (included arrival and departure days). During the Seminar different non-formal education methodologies will be used. There will also be sessions related to project drafting and management within the framework of Erasmus+ programme as well as a session on competences recognition trough Youthpass. Free time to better get to know each other is foreseen too. The Barcamp On the 6th of September will be held the "Barcamp" activity runned by participants of the Seminar and open to all young Italian people who will apply to participate. The first BarCamp was held in Palo Alto, California, from August 19–21, 2005. It was organized in less than one week, from concept to event, with 200 attendees. BarCamp is an ad-hoc unconference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join. When you arrive, go to the pre-registration table, where you can claim your nametag. Make your way into the eatery, where you may find breakfast, that organizers or other participants have brought some to share, and lots of people to socialize with. Generally, we start by gathering together in one space and going around the room to introduce ourselves with three tags to describe what we're passionate about or want to talk about. There will also be some announcements. After this, people who intend to lead a session will add their session info to an empty schedule grid. If you see a session you're interested in, go to it. After a couple of sessions, you will have a significant amount of downtime for lunch. Feel free to wander around and socialize while or after you eat. More announcements will be made, and any newly proposed sessions will be announced. Attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one, or otherwise contribute in some way to support the event. When you come, be prepared to share with BarCampers. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world. If you want to participate, PLEASE, FILL THE APPLICATION ATTACHED and send it to: international@giosef.it
