Rural Youth Empowerment: Unlocking Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps

4-8 November 2024 | Pärnu, Estonia

The seminar will enable participants to develop an international network for future cooperation using Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps programs funding.

The seminars will consist of 2 digital events and a residential seminar in Pärnu, Estonia on 4 - 8 November 2024.

* The first online pre-event will be implemented on the 17th of October, 2024 from 14:00 CET, the planned duration is 90 min. This event aims to make an introduction to the seminar and create a space for participants to know each other.

*The second online event will be implemented in mid-January 2025. The second event aims to consult participants on the process of submission of online Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps application forms and support participants in the process of finalizing applications.

The aim of this seminar is:

To foster collaboration and capacity building among LEADER Local Action Groups (LAGs) and other rural development actors to effectively engage rural youth in Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps programs initiatives.

Objectives:

1.      Inspire and motivate participants to initiate actions for rural youth engagement and empowerment by using Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps programs.

2.      Identify synergies between the LEADER approach and Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps programs, and present existing opportunities for international collaboration.

3.      Create space to conceptualize, analyse, and share experience and best practices in the field of youth engagement.

4.      Encourage networking and future project idea development in the framework of European programs.

International training is intended for 30 participants from across Europe.

 

What do we require from the participant?

  • Should be working at the LEADER Local Action Groups (LAGs) or directly related with LEADER programme
  • Interested in organizing international projects for young people in their area
  • Can work in the English language.
  • Can take part in the whole duration of the Seminar.

Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
