ROVE (Raising Our Voices for Empowerment)

ROVE (Raising Our Voices for Empowerment) is a 5 days Training Course that will provide Media Creation tools and Storytelling skills to youth workers who work directly with LGBTQIA+ Young people.

We will explore how to use these techniques with our target group and how our creations can be used in Social Media to spread a message of nurturance and visibility of sexual and gender diversity.

In our 5-days Training Course we will:

-Discover tools of Media Creation and Social Theatre as methodologies with wide potential from the artistic and social point of view.
-Increase our skills when creating content for Activism in Social Media, designing meaningful campaigns for fighting against discrimination.
-Create video campaigns for Social Media, raising awareness of the realities and needs of
LGBTQIA+ Young people.
-Share about Human Rights and the realities of LGBTQIA+ young people in our local communities.

In the Local Action Phase we will:

-Go back to our local organisations and share the knowledge and tools on Media Creation and Social Theatre that we will gather in Galicia.
-Carry out local events (screening nights, small performances, Media workshops…) sharing the video campaigns that we will create in the Training Course.
-Spread the word and design new Social Media contents, to keep Raising Our Voices for LGBTIQA+ Empowerment!
