Puppet IT

In the first part of the training, participants develop their skills in puppetry. It will include all aspects of the animation of puppets - movement, voice, and the creation of the character of a puppet. Participants will focus on the animation of puppets individually and also together with other persons in the group. Participants try to animate different types of puppets. Also, they will learn to animate each other as a puppet.

In the second part of the training, participants will have the possibility to create puppets from recycling materials. They will develop their competences in creating the puppets from upcycled and recycled materials, manipulating the puppets, and in using the puppets as a tools to engage youth and develop their competences. All puppets we will use for the puppetry performance (etudes with puppets) with the topic “deforestation - anti-deforestation”. Participants will work together on the dramaturgy of the performance and rehearsal of it. 

Objectives:

-Development competences in using the puppetry methodology for youth work. 

-Development competencies in using puppetry methodology for youth empowerment, to a deeper understanding of puppetry as a methodology for youth empowerment. 

-Development competencies in performing puppetry theater. 

-Promotion of youth empowerment and environmental protection. Engaging youth for taking climate actions. 

-Discovering and promoting experiential learning, peer learning, non-formal education.
