Partner building and training activity "Cross border training" (Grande-Région)

Training Course

13-19 April 2025 | Balzers, Liechtenstein

Youth leaders should be aware of the potential challenges of international youth work when organising international youth exchanges. This training tackles mainly intercultural learning/awareness, the basics of conflict resolution and project management.

English:

The "Cross-border Training" will bring together youth leaders from the so-called - “Greater region” including the regions of Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany), Grand-Est (France) Wallonie, the German-speaking community of Belgium and Luxembourg. Liechtenstein has been participating as guest region for a few years already.

High quality youth exchanges require well trained youth leaders who have the necessary skills to lead transnational activities. The goals of this training are to:

  • exchange on training youthworkers working in international contexts;
  • exchange about the content (methods for intercultural learning, challenges and opportunities) of future trainings of trainers;
  • foster cooperation between youth organisations from the “Greater region”;
  • strengthen the competencies of the participants so that they can carry out youth exchanges within the framework of the EU program.

Moreover, the “Cross-border Training” aims to promote a positive image of a common EU-citizenship through the creation of intercultural activities. To emphasize the intercultural aspect of this training, all activities will be bilingual (French/German) with simultaneous translation. Without French or German Knowledge and without coming from the greater region, you can't participate to the training.

  • échange sur la formation des animateurs de jeunes travaillant dans des contextes internationaux;
  • échange sur le contenu (méthodes d'apprentissage interculturel, défis et opportunités) des futures formations pour formateurs ;
  • favoriser la coopération entre les organisations de jeunesse de la «Grande Région»;

  • Austausch über die Ausbildung von Jugendarbeitende, die in internationalen Kontexten arbeiten;
  • Austausch über die Inhalte (Methoden für interkulturelles Lernen, Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten) zukünftiger Trainings für Trainer:innen;
