Online Workshop: From Witness to Active Bystander - United against Gender-Based Violence

E-learning

28 February 2025 | online, Germany

This online workshop explores practical ways to address gender-based violence (GBV) using non-formal education methods. We will discuss GBV in different spaces and develop strategies for active bystander intervention.

This free interactive online workshop is designed for youth workers, young activists, and individuals passionate about fostering dialogue and awareness around gender-based violence (GBV) in their communities. Using non-formal education methods, we will explore practical ways to engage young people and promote active bystander intervention.

GBV remains a persistent issue across the European Union and beyond, affecting individuals indiscriminately. This session aims to keep the conversation alive, shape societal dialogue, and equip participants with tools to drive change. Whether in the streets, at home, or in the workplace, we all have a role in creating safer and more inclusive spaces.

What to Expect?

  • Understanding GBV
Explore how gender-based violence manifests in different environments, including homes, workplaces, and public spaces.
  • Engaging Discussions & Collaborative Brainstorming
Identify barriers to taking action and co-create strategies to address GBV within youth spaces.
  • Interactive Role-Play & Practical Exercises
Participate in real-life scenarios to practice intervention techniques and gain confidence in addressing sensitive topics.

Why Join?
