NextGen Educators: AI for Youth Work

Training Course

29 May - 6 June 2025 | Busteni, Romania

Following the high importance of technology in personal and professional life, this training course aims to enable youth workers integrate digital tools into their approach, through non-formal methods.

The main aim of the project is to help 25 youth workers gain the ability to understand the particularities of artificial intelligence and its applicability in the education sector.

The main objectives of the course are:

  • During the project, 25 youth workers will gain essential knowledge about the concept of artificial intelligence, including the most widely used types of AI, the advantages and disadvantages of its use, as well as the limitations that this type of technology has. 
  • During the training course, 25 youth workers will acquire the necessary skills to use at least 5 digital tools and platforms: Canva, Miro, Prezi, Autoppt and Mentimeter managing to integrate them successfully in their work with young people. 
  • Until the end of the training course, all participants of this project will feel more motivated and confident to implement non formal sessions and methods designed in collaboration with AI in their work with young people.

This project is mainly addressed to:

  • people who work with youth
  • volunteers
  • mentors
  • facilitators
  • teachers 

Age limit: over 18, no upper age limit.

We anticipate that the participants will:

  • Enhance their proficiency in utilizing at least three key digital components effectively.
  • Acquire essential technological skills, including critical thinking, information verification, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Integrate digital tools into their work with young people, enabling them to plan sessions more effectively and incorporate diverse, interactive methods.
  • Partner organizations will gain from having more youth workers equipped with improved digital skills, increasing their local visibility through press releases and various awareness-raising initiatives.
