Training Course

2-8 September 2024 | Sabaudia, Italy

The course, held from September 2nd to 8th, 2024, targets 32 professionals/volunteers in youth education. Goals: share outdoor activity methodologies to enhance well-being and nature connection, and strengthen our network for collaborative project design.

Are you a professional or volunteer working with youth in non-formal educational settings? Do you love the outdoors and want to connect with others in your field? We have just the event for you!

From September 2nd to 8th, 2024, we’re hosting a training course at Camping Lilandà in beautiful Sabaudia, Italy. Picture yourself strengthening your skills, sharing best practices, and designing innovative educational projects – all while surrounded by stunning nature!

What’s Happening?

  • Outdoor Activities: Mornings will be filled with activities in breathtaking environments – whether you prefer sporty adventures or relaxing moments, there’s something for everyone!
  • Roundtable Sessions: Afternoons are dedicated to collaborative project design and sharing ideas in thematic discussions.
  • Hands-On Learning: Gain insights into experiential education, group dynamics, program planning, and more.

Who Should Join?

We’re looking for 32 individuals passionate about youth work and outdoor education. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a dedicated volunteer, this is your chance to grow and connect with like-minded peers.

Practical Details:

  • Arrival: From 6:00 pm on September 2nd
  • Departure: By 11:00 am on September 8th
  • Accommodation: Cozy camping tents with beds – bring your sleeping bag and a sense of adventure!
  • Travel Tips: Fly into Rome Fiumicino, then take a train to Priverno and bus to Sabaudia. Save those receipts for reimbursement!

What to Bring?

Pack essentials like a sleeping bag, comfortable clothing, and your favorite camping gear. Don’t forget your notebook for ideas and a water bottle to stay hydrated. And hey, bring along any games, music, or instruments to share some fun moments with new friends!

Kamaleonte is an organization dedicated to fostering growth, well-being, and education through experiential learning and outdoor activities. Kamaleonte aims to promote personal development, mental well-being, and social integration through innovative and experiential learning methods. Their activities are designed to leverage the therapeutic and educational benefits of nature and adventure, emphasizing authenticity, inclusion, and reflective practices.

Core Activities:
- Eco-Sportive and Outdoor Experiences: Kamaleonte offers a variety of outdoor activities, including stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), yoga on SUP, and adventure hiking. These activities are tailored to different skill levels and designed to enhance physical and mental health through direct engagement with nature​.
- Adventure Therapy: In collaboration with Kare, Kamaleonte runs programs aimed at adolescents and young adults experiencing behavioral and psychological challenges. These camps, held in natural settings like the National Park of Circeo, focus on promoting mental health and resilience through adventurous group activities​.

Kamaleonte’s educational framework is based on experiential learning, which emphasizes learning through direct experience and reflection. Their programs incorporate elements of adventure therapy, group dynamics, and personal growth. They focus on multiple intelligences, particularly kinesthetic, emotional, and relational, to create a holistic learning environment.

Furthermore, Kamaleonte is a founding partner of the International Academy of Experiential Education and collaborates with various international and local organizations to enhance their educational offerings.

Travel reimbursement

100% - Depending on distance band and green travel
