Training Course
12-18 May 2024 | Miranda Do Corvo, Portugal
It's with great pleasure that we announce the launch of our Foundation Course for the MYSTIC Project funded by European Youth Together (ERASMUS-YOUTH-2022-YOUTH-TOG).
The Foundation Course is designed to help Youth/Social Workers/Teachers/Volunteers and Youth Groups (with fewer opportunities) to gain skills in leadership, digital skills and other skills and to utilize their competencies to engage with local communities and create and actualize their own ideas for a better future.
The e-course is a prerequisite (participation, not necessarily its completion) for the upcoming fully funded Immersive Mobility Program (IRP) in Miranda do Corvo Portugal this May (12-18 of May 2024).
You need to be a Youth Worker, Social Worker, Teacher or Volunteer and work "directly" with youth groups with fewer opportunities. This means Special Schools, Charity Organisations, NGOs, Civil Society Organisations that work with youth migrants, disabilities, and/or other special minorities and youth with fewer opportunities are eligible to participate.
The info pack for this unique mobility will be sent as soon as it is finalized, to participants that have accessed the e-course and that have registered here to participate.
The ratio of participants is 1 to 1.
This means that 1 Youth/Social Worker (ages 18+, need a good level of English) and 1 participant with fewer opportunities (ages 18-30, need to speak either Greek or English) as pairs so that the youth participant is comfortable in interacting with the activities.
This will be a very unique experience for your organisation and your youth groups.
Please share this special opportunity with your colleagues and networks.

OTI Group currently hosts and manages several non-profit social enterprises namely, OTI Travel, OTI Media, OTI Radio, thimame.com, JobsToDo, Eurojobs, Smilify.eu, and OTI Education. The organisation was born in 2009 in London, UK and in 2011 in Cyprus and now its network has spread out to more than 14 countries including but not limited to Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and other OTI locals in EU and non-EU countries. The organisation has strong partnerships with Eastern European Partnership countries and EUROMED countries as well. The organisation has been very active in Youth in Action since 2009 and is very active in Erasmus+ Projects since its start in 2014 for all Key Actions youth and adult education. The organisation also selects schools and informal groups that consist of students and teachers from schools as partners in order to influence the school education format, and encourage teaching methods to involve non-formal learning methodologies in their curriculum. The organisation has also been very active in various frameworks including Europe For Citizens, European Social Fund, EEA Grants, programmes and twinning with municipalities and organisations with Italy, France, Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia, Estonia, Greece, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Cyprus.
Our projects include young people, youth workers, professionals and participants of any age. We include participants with fewer opportunities and we give emphasis on projects that empower minorities and inclusion for people with disadvantages.
OTI and its network have successfully realised more than 90 mobility projects, proving that the quality of the offered programmes is fruitful, fun, progressive and creative. One Terrene International is also a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation network and Diversity Charter of Cyprus.

After participation in the online course, trainees will be able to participate in an Immersive Residential Programme, of a total duration of 7 days (5 days of training, 2 days of travel) in Miranda do Corvo, Portugal.
The participants will stay in a suitably designed environment together with young people from 1-2 partner countries and will have the opportunity to participate in a program of interactive workshops, educational interventions as well as experiential activities, such as mountain hiking, horse riding and other cultural events.
The IRP will take place in Miranda do Corvo, a municipality located in the Coimbra region of central Portugal. The nearest cities with international airports are Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado Airport, LIS), which is 200 kilometres southwest of Miranda do Corvo, and Porto Airport. (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, OPO) which is 159 kilometres northwest of Miranda do Corvo.

The majority of ‘desk-based’ activities – including agenda-setting, problem-solving workshops and reflection activities, will take place in the Conference Centre of the Hotel Parque Serra da Lousã
The experiential activities – for example, the visits to the Ecumenical Temple and Waterfall, and the ‘Tame the Mountain’ walk - will take place in the local area, with additional experiential activities, including the ‘Roman settlement’ and ‘Fado’ activities taking place in the nearby locations of Conimbriga and Coimbra.
The ratio of participants is 1 to 1.
