Mind. Body. Spirit: Unlocking youth potential

Training Course

10-18 November 2023 | Riga region, Latvia

Explore and practice alternative learning methods that promote holistic development (body, mind, and spirituality) of young individuals, especially those with fewer opportunities.

For many young people, traditional mainstream learning methods may not be as effective due to a variety of reasons, however, we all have the potential to learn and grow in our own unique ways. Therefore the project "Unlocking youth potential" will focus on alternative learning methods that emphasize the body, mind, and spirituality such as Meditation, Creative Arts, Adventure-Based Learning, Service Learning, Yoga, Gamification, Nature-Based Learning and Mind Mapping.

The program will include workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions designed to help youth workers gain new insights and skills in working with young people.

By participating you will:

  • Discover new methods to use in your work with young people;
  • Understand how alternative learning methods can level up your work with youngsters with fewer opportunities;
  • Discover how these methods can enhance your own well-being and healing;
  • Exchange experiences, and understand what to keep in mind when working with young people with fewer opportunities;
  • Share best practices from yourself and other experienced youth workers;

This training is for you if:

  • you are a resident in Latvia, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Lithuania or Spain (no age limit)
  • actively working with young people;
  • interested in exploring and practicing alternative learning methods with an emphasis on the body, mind, and spirituality
  • you are committed to participating fully in all aspects of the project, including the online preparation, follow-up activities and dissemination;
  • you are able to communicate effectively in English;
  • you are ready to adopt vegetarian or vegan diet for duration of the project;
