Massive Open Online Course on European Solidarity Corps

A free, self-paced, open online course from 22nd October to 6th December 2024 for everyone interested in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Programme. During the course, you will discover how you can use all the opportunities that the Programme offers.

The course materials are in English, with most content translated to Spanish, Italian, German and Turkish.

You can access the online content at any time starting from 22nd October to 6th December 2024 and you can go through it in your own pace. In addition to that, we offer live webinars (11th and 25th November), online forums and Q&A possibilities on your future projects.  Participation in the webinars is possible without completing the modules. Registration for the webinars will be available after enrolling in the course.

This Massive Open Online Course offers opportunities to explore:

  • Learning the essentials of the European Solidarity Corps
  • To learn how to reach the impact on the personal, organisational and community levels
  • Discovering the format and practice of Volunteering projects;
  • Discovering the essence of the Solidarity project and the main steps to start it
  • To learn what it takes to be ready to apply for the ESC grant
  • To learn how to acquire a Quality Label
  • To explore opportunities of Humanitarian Aid activities
  • To understand what are the possible ways to support young people during the European Solidarity projects
  • Networking among course participants.

We will organise 2 thematic webinars focusing on the community impact of ESC projects:

  • Webinar on “How to increase the community impact of your ESC project?”: 11th November, 11:00 CET  - 12:00 CET

  • Webinar “Tools and practices to measure the ESC impact in the community”: 25th November, 15:00 CET - 16:00 CET

Speaker: Tenna Soerensen Jochumsen – project officer at Centre for European Volunteering (CEV)

Best practice presentation: Tihomir Georgiev - project manager at Smokinyia Foundation

You can enrol now using your Salto-Youth login or your HOP account. There is an option for you to attend just the webinars - without the completion of the modules of the course  - and  learn more about community impact measurement and how to increase it.

This path is primarily recommended to those who already have some knowledge about the European Solidarity Corps Programme (or Erasmus +) and want to increase the impact of their projects. Upon successfully completing the course, learners will be awarded with Open Digital Badges and a Youthpass certificate.
