We are inviting you to join our online Conference "Local European Citizens!" within the Erasmus+ framework. During the conference, we will present our digital Platform for active participation and inclusion of youth using non-formal learning methods.

Join the best opportunity to explore quality youth participation methods and tools to increase active citizenship of youth locally and European level in the youth field and also formal educational settings.

We will present our Training Manual on citizenship education for, with and by young people with a special focus on European Values, Civic Engagement and Recognising Media Manipulation.

During the conference, we will present the Training Manual and Toolbox for the Citizenship Education with special focus on European Values, Civic Engagement and recognising media manipulation. The Handbook and Toolkit is a result of the Erasmus+ KA2 Small-Scale Partnership in the field of youth. The Erasmus+ code of our project is 2023-1-IT03-KA210-YOU-000165442. 
The duration of the conference is up to 90 minutes.

Local European Citizenship Training Manual and Toolbox is dedicated to enhancing the active civic and social participation of young people through effective non-formal learning methods and tools in youth work activities and formal educational settings with special attention on European Values, Civic Engagement and Recognising Media Manipulation.

Who should attend:
Young people, youth workers and educators involved in citizenship education, want to be more active citizens in local and European levels, want to support young people to become more responsible citizens socially, and wish to use new methodologies and tools in the youth work.

During the (online) Conference, you will:

  • learn about youth participation & participatory approaches
  • learn about the current citizenship education in Italy, Hungary and Malta
  • get tailored and quality support from mentors (experienced in implementing/facilitating citizenship education activities) who will help you to make your young people more active citizens through implementing our training materials and tools in your daily youth/school work activities
  • get a Youthpass (if you are part of at least 80% of all activities in the challenge).

Selection criteria:

  • youth workers & youth leaders - members of an organisation or informal group 
  • teachers & social workers – working in formal or institutional settings and having opportunities to encourage and empower young people to be more active civically and socially in their local communities
  • all interested persons - no age limit
  • all interested persons capable of communicating effectively in English

Participation requirements:

  • Participants should be available to join the (online) conference:
  • 21 January 2025, 11:00-13:00 CET -
  • The main platform for sessions will be ZOOM (Central European Time). Access to a personal computer and the Internet is required.
  • For group consultations with mentorship, you can choose the preferred communication channel.
