The activity aims to strengthen Solidarity Projects in semi-urban and rural areas for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities

Objectives

  • To enable participants to better understand the European Solidarity Corps Programme and explore its potential and benefits in rural areas;
  • To disseminate the European Solidarity Corps programme to areas in need and facing challenges;
  • To discover, collect and share good practices of solidarity projects in Europe and to learn more about opportunities available through other programmes and initiatives;
  • To support participants to express the challenges they face in relation to their area, to build an alliance to address them through solidarity and to share good practices to solve them through the European Solidarity Corps

Target Group

The activity is addressed to

  • representatives of organisations in semi urban and rural areas,
  • youth workers working or wishing to work in rural areas,
  • members of youth councils, youth leaders, young people

 who are:

  • interested in learning more and applying for Solidarity Projects within European Solidarity Corps;
  • over 18 years old;

Important to know

  • The working language will be (international) English. Your English does not have to be perfect, but you need to be able to follow presentations and have discussions in English.
  • You will be by default accommodated in twin rooms.
  • A transfer bus will be scheduled from Thessaloniki to Florina and the way back. 02/10 & 06/10 are the travel days.
  • 03-05/10 are the working days (3 full working days).

Costs

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting NA of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
