Training Course
13-22 October 2023 | Gajrowskie, Poland
Listeners Gathering aims to empower youth workers with the tools and know-how to create safe, empathetic spaces for young people, promoting mindfulness and compassion. We treat each individual as a unique and valued person, and therefore we see a big potential in us as youth workers to connect with young people on a deeper level.
By understanding their needs and encouraging open conversations, we unlock the doors to vulnerability, self-awareness and authentic expression. This leads to empowerment that allows one to make conscious and life-changing choices in accordance with own values.
Through learning by experience methods connected to self-awareness and mindfulness, Nonviolent communication, coaching, embodiment and dance therapy as well as nature-based practices, the youth workers will enhance their skills in active listening and empathy, so they will be more confident in guiding and supporting youth on their life paths.
By this project, we actively co-create a world where understanding, empathy and compassion are at the base of human interactions.

Freedom Universe (Youth NGO)
Freedom Universe is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Łódź, central Poland. It was established in December 2021. The mission of our NGO is to create a society in which there is freedom of self-expression and presence of values such as authenticity, mutual understanding and support, acceptance and respect for diversity. We want to create spaces for creative and artistic activities, lifelong learning and personal growth. It is important for us to empower people by raising the awareness that each person has the ability to create their own reality. Also, connection with nature is fundamental for us as we care about sustainability and protecting mother earth.
Before the NGO was established, we were active for 2 years as an informal group. We work both locally and internationally. In Poland we organize FRUŃ festival for nearly 1000 people, local events and workshops. Internationally we are involved in Erasmus+ projects. Our main fields of interest are personal development, arts and environmental issues. Young people are our main target group – we would like to offer them tools for their personal growth, developing self-awareness, creativity and soft skills such as leadership, deep listening and communication.
