This event is part of the LGBTQIA!+ project, "Let’s Go Beyond Talk: Turn Quickly Into Action!+" (2022-2-IT03-KA220-YOU000100764), which runs from 2023 to 2025 and is promoted by the Cultural Association Communia (Ancona, Italy) within the Erasmus+ KA220 Programme (cooperation partnerships). The project aims to promote the social inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people in Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain by fostering community empowerment, social support, and confidence in the expression of LGBTQIA+ identities.

What is this event about?
This is the final dissemination and learning event of a Community of Practice on the Advocacy-based Service-Learning Program (ASLP), an innovative educational approach implemented throughout all four partner countries during the project.

What is ASLP?
The Advocacy-based Service-Learning Program (ASLP) is an educational method that merges learning objectives with community service, engaging students in volunteering activities with non-profit or social service organizations. This approach not only addresses immediate community needs but also fosters critical engagement in social change efforts, challenging systemic inequalities. ASLP helps participants develop a deeper understanding of social issues while equipping them with skills to become active agents of change.

Who is this event for?
This event welcomes:
✔ Participants of the LGBTQIA!+ project, especially those involved in ASLP in schools (students, teachers, activists)
✔ Trainers, teachers, or activists interested in learning an experimental technique like ASLP
✔ Anyone eager to be part of a Community of Practice

Event Structure:
30 min – Training on ASLP: Introduction to ASLP and its implementation across partner countries
45 min – Community of Practice: Storytelling from participants sharing their ASLP experiences
15 min – Plenary: Key takeaways, reflections, and Q&A
