JANUS seminar
Seminar
2-9 August 2013 | London, United Kingdom
Janus is the god of beginnings and transitions. He looks to the future and the past.
The Janus Project will look back at 7 years of Youth in Action, and forward to the possibilities in the next 7 years of the new programme.
The project will be a celebration of everything that has been achieved by Youth in Action partners all around Europe, and the positive impact on the lives of young people. This will lead on to discussion and planning of new projects for 2014 and beyond (based on available published information at the time). The week will end with a large scale conference which promotes the importance of European youth mobility to the widest possible audience including policy makers, education leaders and the media.
The Janus Project will be based around a series of dynamic intercultural activities and group challenges. It will be inspiring, educational, fun and an excellent partnership-building opportunity. The main themes of the week will be the four principles of youth work: education, empowerment, equal opportunity and participation.
Participants: we will select a maximum of TWO partner organisations from each PROGRAMME COUNTRY. Each partner will send one staff member and one young person (minimum age 18). We will try to select participants from the widest possible variety of partners and projects.
The Janus project is being organised by Momentum World (www.momentumworld.org) on behalf of the UK National Agency.
