This is a International Young Forum and Training Course about conflict resolution to explore / obtain common and specific values for Peace building and inter-ethnic reconciliation & Integration, towards a mutual peaceful, democratic society.
Forum for Progressive Initiatives on cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation is organizing - InterKULT- a training course & youth forum about Conflict Resolution - Peace-building to explore/obtain common democratic values for human rights, inter-cultural/religious welfare, towards a mutual peaceful and perspective society This training course will gather about 30 participants from different countries in Prishtina, Kosovo to have an exciting opportunity to advance the knowledge and attitudes regarding to Peace building, human rights, conflict resolution and religious tolerance/radicalism which nowadays threatens the stability, security and diverse living harmony. Therefore, while tackling interesting social-cultural perceptions, opinions and attitudes to ethnic-religious differences, we pretend to come up with Platform with Recommendations pursuing significant values and approaches which might be a precious asset especially for youth work and civil society, learning and promoting how to overcome and enjoy living in a diversity. AIMS This event finds its justification into major purposes that it has put forward. Objective description 1 To identify - reflect on the Conflict Tree, current global threats and conflict resolution. 2 To share and promote an overview of Peace-building process (how to overcome ethnic and cultural differences and develop sustainable peace). 3 To embed the sense of religious tolerance as a symbol of unification & peace, and understand more precisely religious radicalism and holly wars. 4 To present Social Democracy as an appropriate model for sustainable social, economical and political progress 5 To learn & promote the role of youth work for sustainable peace, tolerant society and entice participants develop similar project for similar purposes. 6 To create a young professional network for future cooperation, 7 Finally we’ll come up with a Publication about these topics especially for conflict resolution, peace building and religious tolerance - radicalism. • Open discussion (overview) about global trends/development in field of Democracy, Regional security and global threat – Defining the global and local sources of conflicts, • Training Session about "Peace Building, inter-cultural and inter-ethnic coexistence", • Training - working in groups for "Conflict Tree & Conflict resolution". • Case study “Human rights” and their implementation (fundamental rights, minorities rights, (focus on) gender equality and free sexual orientation) • Forum & workshops for “Inter-religious Tolerance” Religious & Radicalism - Holly Wars, • Presentation about Social Democracy, Y-work for tolerance appreciation to the diversity”. • a couple of relevant film documentaries Entertaining activities – energizer for group cohesion • an excursion - to visit some interesting historic, cultural and tourist venues in Kosovo. • Group Work for the Publication “while the agenda goes on, participants will be divided into group for a certain topics for which have to write and prepare for the later publication.

Forum for Progressive Initiatives it's a Non Profit Organization, which it's committed to several important projects to the community, aiming at advancing social development in terms of education, cultural exchanges.

Principally, we deal with non-formal education, and cultural - entertaining activities with youth and students.
Hereby we develop great leaderships and organizational skills for students, apart their education in similar fields, in order to make them have bigger opportunities regardless of their ethnic background.

We do various forums, mostly, about youth situation here, proper education, youth participation in decision-making process, Tolerance and youth inter – ethnic coexistence, Youth community development, International cultural exchange and similar, to make youngsters carrier of positive changes in their community.

Costs

Since this event is NOT sponsored by Erasmus Plus but with some generous support by local organizations; however since we don't' reach the whole cost of the program, thus, to attend this forum, selected participants are requested to contribute with a participation fee; - for participants from EU up to 100€, - from Balkan - 50 € - Local ones - free The program it’s all inclusive, covering the accommodation, food & refreshment, seminars and workshops, necessary material, airport pick up and a study visit. As for the travel cost, you are in charge of your own travel expenses form/to Kosovo because we cannot reimburse it.
