Training Course
21-26 January 2019 | Ankara, Türkiye
During the Product Jam, participants gather and form creative teams (merging their different skills) and design and develop tools to be used in youth work with and about refugees.
In general, the Product Jam aims to provide space and means to participants in order to design and produce educational tools to be used in youth work with and about refugees while supporting the development of creative skills of non-formal education trainers through this reflected practice.
All activities of the Insightrainer Creatrainer process will be accompanied by an experienced researcher with the key research question “what helps facilitate trainers to gain and implement new skills?”
The research will not only provide a feedback loop throughout the year but also will sharpen the documentation process and support participants’ conscious learning process.
Objectives:
In line with the overall objective, the specific objectives of this Workshop are:
- To form creative teams merging various skills (creative writing, visuals
and comics, game and play design) and challenge the teams to design and
produce meaningful material in a limited time,
-To become more acquainted with current practices on the work done
with, for and about young refugees,
-To identify the needs for educational materials in the field,
-To present the outcomes of creative teams to potential funders and/or
users to raise support for further development and dissemination of the
materials presented,
-To share the products within the wider trainer community through social
media,
-To strengthen the Insightrainer Creatrainer community,
-To reflect on individual learning processes and support the Youthpass process.
