Inclusive volunteering conference

E-learning

25 September 2024 | Czech Republic

A conference about inclusive volunteering, with the presentation of supportive tools for organizations who want to host and/or coordinate volunteers with disability.

Voluntary work is important both for our society and for individuals. Participation in such can enrich a life through social integration and the development of personal skills, but people with disabilities have often been excluded from this.

The Inclusive volunteering conference is the final conference of the international IMProVE 2.0 project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

The IMProVE project stands for inclusion and equality and is intended to enable people with disabilities to enter voluntary work.

During the conference the IMProVE 2.0 method will be presented together with some testimonies by the people (volunteers with disability and inclusion buddies) who took part to the project and tested the method.

To implement the goal of inclusive volunteering, support structures (as the role of Inclusion buddies) have been developed to enable people with disabilities to access advice and training. Information events and counseling for parents and caregivers will improve skills and thus facilitate the path to volunteerism. Another goal is to change the public perception of people with disabilities. Everyone, regardless of age, culture, gender, sexual orientation, origin, religion or disability can make a contribution to our society and play an active role.

The participants to the conference will have a taste of the training materials and supportive structures developed during the project, in an interactive way.

Follow the online conference to learn how to promote inclusiveness in volunteering!
