Harvesting Conference - Strategic Partnership on Inclusion (SPI)

Seminar

19-22 June 2018 | Cascais, Portugal

You received this application link from your Erasmus+ National Agency because you were involved in the Strategic Partnership on Inclusion (SPI). Please fill in the application form for yourself AND 1 young person/participant from your inclusion project.
THE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP ON INCLUSION (SPI) 15 Erasmus+ National Agencies & SALTO Resource Centres joined forces to reach out to inclusion organisations (working with disability, NEET, disadvantaged areas). National and international support activities aim to bring Erasmus+ youth projects within reach of more young people from these inclusion groups. See www.salto-youth.net/SPInclusion/ HARVESTING CONFERENCE WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE PART? The conference in Cascais (European Youth Capital 2018) will take place from 19 June (arrival before dinner) till 22 June (departure day). 2 full exciting and intense working days. The conference offers a forum to share your inclusion practices, projects and experiences (from inclusion project organisers and project participants/young people) and to learn from each other. It is an opportunity to meet like-minded people and professionals from all over Europe to network and exchange. Besides harvesting results of the SPI, we also want to inspire you to take next steps. And the Erasmus+ National Agency colleagues will be there to support you. WHO WILL BE THERE? There will be 30 inclusion workers (staff/volunteers of inclusion organisations) who each come with a participant (young person) from their project/organisation. And there will be 15 inclusion officers from different Erasmus+ National Agencies. We would like to ask you to apply TOGETHER WITH ONE YOUNG PERSON (active participant in your project or activities). We want to make sure that we do not only speak ABOUT young people, but also WITH them about inclusion. We can cater for additional/special needs (e.g. personal assistant, dietary needs), please specify in the application form. If the 'young person' who is joining you would be legally a minor, make sure you have the necessary CONSENT of parents/legal guardian to go abroad. INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH The working language of the conference is 'international English', so this will be a fun exercise in intercultural communication (for you and the young person). We will use a non-formal educational approach, so that even with basic English skills, you can enjoy the conference. PRACTICALITIES Because of limited budget, you will be lodged in TWIN rooms with a conference participant of the same gender. Under-age participants of the same gender will share a TWIN room together. For those not used to sharing a room during youth activities, it is a great opportunity to make new friends or get to know colleagues better. PROGRAMME ATTACHED
