Generational Creative Fusion: Uniting Generations through the Power of Art and Storytelling

Seminar

8 November 2024 | online, Italy

Online workshop exploring Generational Creative Fusion, where young women and older generations collaborate through art and storytelling, bridging generational gaps, sharing knowledge, and creating meaningful connections across age groups.

The online workshop "Generational Creative Fusion" is designed for professionals and practitioners working in non-formal learning, youth work, and intergenerational projects. This workshop will explore how creative activities, such as visual arts and storytelling, can effectively bridge generational gaps and foster meaningful connections between young women and older adults.

The workshop is part of a larger initiative to facilitate intergenerational collaboration, bringing together young women (ages 19-29) and older generations (aged 50 and above) to share experiences, skills, and cultural narratives. The sessions emphasize the power of storytelling and art as tools for knowledge exchange, personal growth, and creative expression. Participants will gain insights into the methodologies used to facilitate these workshops, including practical techniques for engaging diverse age groups and enhancing digital literacy through art-based learning.

During the workshop, participants will learn about best practices from local workshops held in different countries, hear success stories from both young and older participants, and discover how documenting experiences through various media can enrich the outcomes of intergenerational activities. The workshop aims to inspire youth workers, educators, and cultural facilitators to implement similar approaches in their own communities, promoting inclusivity and lifelong learning across generations.

Join us to discover how art and storytelling can unite generations and empower individuals to share their stories in creative and impactful ways.
