Training Course

25 April - 1 May 2022 | Training centre "Daugirdiskes", Lithuania

This course will support you in designing and preparing engaging 21st-century skills development programmes for and with young people. It is a chance to meet and network with inspiring colleagues and organisations.

This is the second training of the three-training series “Future Skills Now!” You can apply to participate in only this training or join both courses, taking place  on 25 April - 1 May and 3-9 July 2022. 

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?

  • ​​to develop competences in designing digital learning pathways with young people to develop 21st century skills
  • explore a range of resources which can be included when designing digital learning pathways
  • prepare to run better quality youth work programmes in your organisations and communities
  • explore how to validate and recognise the development of 21st century skills using digital Open Badges and Cities of Learning platform

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

  • to exchange and learn good practices of developing digital learning pathways for 21st century skills in diverse learning settings
  • to design digital learning pathways and pilot them in follow-up to enable young people to develop 21st century skills through connected learning
  • to share the outcomes of the local research on youth needs and aspirations for future life and careers and reflect their relevance to youth work programmes
  • to experience specific skills in action and reflect their relevance to present and future life of young people

WHO IS EXPECTED IN THE GROUP OF LEARNERS?

  • youth leaders, youth workers, trainers, mentors, non-formal educators above 18 years old
  • motivated to improve their future skills and of those they are working with
  • participants from Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Slovenia,Sweden, Romania and the UK. 
  • The international activities will be carried out in English and will require a sufficient level of communication in English.

PREPARATION

Participants who will be invited to participate in the training course, will have to be ready to complete these tasks:

  • have an individual interview or focus groups with up to 3-4 young people about their future skills
  • participate in the virtual meeting (2 hours max) before the training course

Participation fee

Accommodation and food

Organisers will cover the costs of food and accommodation (in shared rooms with 2-3 people). 

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs based on the real costs, not exceeding the following limits (20 Euro will be deducted for the local transfer from the Vilnius airport/city to the training venue and back):

Hungary - 275 Eur.  

Italy - 275 Eur.  

Lithuania - 20 Eur.

Netherlands - 275 Eur.  

Romania - 275 Eur.   

Slovenia - 275 Eur.  

Sweden - 275 Eur.  

United Kingdom - 275 Eur.  

 

The travel costs will be reimbursed upon submission of all travel documents. Each participant will need to make the most economic way of travelling.
