Event for Cultural Coaches & National Agencies of the European Youth in Action Programme

Other

11-16 April 2010 | Wokingham, United Kingdom

This event is a follow up to the seminar “Cultural Coach” held in Finland in November 2009. The event will be in 2 parts: a training for the Cultural Coaches and then an evaluation meeting between the Cultural Coaches and their NAs.
A Cultural Coach is a person who makes the bridge between a cultural minority and the Youth in Action programme (and the National Agency). This event is the follow up of the seminar Cultural Coach held in Helsinki in November 2009. Each NA has identified the Cultural Coach(es) they are working with on a long term approach. The event “Cultural Coach” in the UK will have two parts. First the Cultural Coaches will participate to a training part with a series of workshops on topics like Intercultural Learning, Youth Participation, Empowerment, Group dynamics, etc.) Then the National Agencies will join the Cultural Coaches to evaluate the work done so far and build the next steps of the strategy. This event will also offer a space to exchange about good practices and realities. The objectives of the event are: - To train the Cultural Coaches on the topics identified during the seminar in Helsinki - To evaluate the Action plan designed during the seminar in Helsinki and to build the next steps of the strategy - To create the follow up of the project at international level It is expected that an NA staff participates to the second part of the event (13 to 16 of April 2010).
