Study Visit
9-13 March 2025 | Europäische Akademie Berlin, Germany
The seminar offers an in-depth engagement with discrimination and racism, from its individual to its structural and institutional dimensions. It is aimed at trainers, educators, and individuals committed to promoting an anti-racist environment.
The goal is to raise awareness of various forms of discrimination. Participants will engage with prejudices, develop practical approaches to solidarity, use discrimination-sensitive language, and foster respectful communication. Best practices will be discussed, analyzed, and adapted to ensure impactful and sustainable solutions with broad-reaching effects across Europe and beyond. Based on this foundation, effective campaigns against racism will be developed to counter the rise of right-wing narratives in Europe. In this way, the seminar aims to empower participants to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
The seminar has three phases and we expect the participants to get involved in all of these three activities:
1. Phase: 3,5-day seminar hosted at the European Academy of Berlin
9 March 2025 – 13 March 2025
2. Phase: Individual working phase and development of campaigns
March 2025 – May 2025
3. Phase: Publication of Participants‘ Campaigns
25 May 2025 - 5th Death Date of George Floyd
