Erasmus4Democracy Project Lab

Partnership-building Activity

2-6 September 2025 | Oslo, Norway

Are you working to improve youth participation in local democracy? Do you want to find international partners and develop Erasmus+ projects on the topic of how young people can be involved in municipal decision-making?

Erasmus4Democracy Project Lab is a training and networking event designed for municipal staff working on youth participation to develop Erasmus+ Youth projects that enhance youth participation in decision-making. The focus is on finding relevant partners and using Erasmus+ Youth funding so that you can create impactful projects.

This initiative is part of Democracy Reloading, which provides tools, training, and inspiration to municipalities to strengthen democracy by engaging young people in local and regional decision-making. Participants will gain insights into best practices and resources to integrate youth participation into governance structures.

What can you and your municipality gain?

  • Find suitable project partners
  • Develop Erasmus+ Youth project ideas
  • Get tips on how to apply for funding
  • Exchange best practices and tools that support youth participation in governance structures

By the end of the event, you will hopefully leave with concrete project outlines, new partnerships, and the tools to move forward with an Erasmus+ Youth application.

Is this for you?

You can apply if you are:

  • A municipal youth policy officer, or municipal staff responsible for youth participation
  • A youth worker, NGO representative, or other who implement youth participation activities on behalf of municipalities

You must be actively engaged in efforts to involve young people in local decision-making and be interested in using Erasmus+ Youth funding to support this work.
