Training Course
14-21 January 2025 | Barcelona, Spain
In today’s fast-changing world, young people need more than just knowledge—they need the confidence and skills to adapt, create, and thrive. That’s where the EntreComp Framework, developed by the European Commission, steps in. It redefines entrepreneurship as more than launching businesses. It’s about building essential life skills like creativity, problem-solving, resilience, and teamwork—qualities that empower young people to succeed in any path they choose. For youth workers, incorporating EntreComp into their work isn’t just about teaching entrepreneurial skills—it’s about helping young people unlock their potential. By focusing on innovation, self-confidence, and adaptability, EntreComp supports personal growth, boosts employability, and prepares young people to actively shape their futures. It’s a powerful tool to guide young minds toward a dynamic and meaningful life.
The training course is developed in line with Youth Goal 7: Quality Employment for All and contributes to:
Ensuring the involvement of young people and youth organisations as equal partners in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of employment policies at all levels.
Ensuring equal opportunities for all young people to develop the necessary skills and gain practical experience in order to smoothen the transition from education to the labour market.
Ensuring equal access to quality information and adequate support mechanisms to prepare young people for the changing labour market and future of work.
The training course will be based on non-formal education and learning-by-doing methods. The first days of the training are dedicated to getting to know participants and team building, learning about the Erasmus+ program and Youthpass. Days 3 and 4 offer participants insights into the entrepreneurial competences, existing country realities with youth unemployment and youth entrepreneurship and youth work programs implemented. On days 5 and 6 participants will dive deeper into EntreComp framework and analyse how different parts of framework can be incorporated in daily youth work activities implemented by partner organisations. On the day 7, participants will dive into analysing and understanding how covered topics can be used for their local level activities with youngsters, aiming at empowering youngsters for developing entrepreneurial solutions and employment opportunities.
By the end of the training course, participants are expected to improve their personal understanding, knowledge and skills about EntreComp framework, and to be able to develop follow-up activities for empowering youngsters in local communities of theirs for developing entrepreneurial solutions in line with the digital age and current positive practices.
