EMpowering youth participation

Training Course

30 June - 9 July 2023 | Berlin, Germany

International training course for EU organizations leaders and decision-makers local level. To learn together about the youth participation projects.

Increasing young people's engagement in democratic life is of central importance to our democracy and indeed the continued legitimacy of Europe’s political processes as a whole.
Fostering young people’s engagement in civic society has therefore emerged as a key priority of the European Youth Strategy. Particularly through local, national and transnational Youth Participation Activities, which are eligible for funding under the current Erasmus+ Youth programme (2021-2027).

The objectives are:

But what do we understand concretely by “Youth Participation”?

What are the existing Youth Participatory Structures?

How can we engage more young people in democratic life and provide them with the resources to make their voice and opinions heard?

And what kind of examples can we draw on for inspiration, when it comes to participatory activities involving young people?

These are the questions that this Training Course will engage with over 8 days of seminary, workshops, excursions and study visits in Berlin.
