Training Course

22-27 April 2025 | Budapest, Hungary

Do you want to spend less time on admin work and focus more on practical youth work? Join us for a four-day training course where youth workers can discover how Artificial Intelligence can support their everyday tasks, both in the office and in the field.

Imagine having a personal assistant by your side, acting as your shadow, supporting your activities with efficiency while maintaining a unique human connection. Whether you're just starting to explore AI or already have some experience, this course will give you the tools and knowledge to integrate AI effectively into your NGO’s life and youth projects.

Who Can Apply:
We’re looking for 24 participants who are active in youth work and have experience in managing youth projects. This project is for people who use computers in their everyday work and want to learn more about what the AI revolution has to offer. It is required to be comfortable with English as a working language.

What you will learn:

  • Understand AI Basics: How does AI work and what is it all about? You will gain a clear understanding of AI and its potential in youth work. By the end, you will see how AI can support your projects.
  • Gain Practical AI Skills: Try it first-hand and be confident. By the end, you will be able to use AI tools to enhance your work.
  • Apply AI in European Youth Programs: Collaborate with your new digital colleague. Learn how to integrate AI into youth and project management activities and use its potential as a helpful ally that is making your job easier.
  • Use AI Responsibly and Ethically: Dive into the ethical issues around AI, including data privacy, bias, and how to use it responsibly.

Program Overview

Day 1: Team Building

Develop trust, connect with peers, and experiment with AI tools in a fun, interactive setting.

Day 2: AI Basics & Automation Tools

Explore AI’s potential to simplify administrative tasks and increase efficiency in youth work.

Day 3: AI Learning Festival

Dive deeper into diverse AI applications based on participants’ needs and Erasmus+ priorities.

Day 4: Ethics & Closing

Discuss challenges, ethical practices, and next steps, concluding with reflections and celebration.

Methodology:
Expect a highly interactive learning experience with:

  • Demonstrations and experiential workshops
  • Learning by doing
  • Self-directed learning with guided reflections
  • Debates and discussions to explore AI's potential and challenges
  • Collaborative projects where participants apply their new knowledge in concrete youth work scenarios

Practicalities 

Before the activity, you will receive all the practical information you need to prepare well for this training course.

Arrival day is Tuesday, April 22nd and departure day is Sunday, April 27th. The programme starts on Tuesday afternoon and finishes on Saturday in the evening after dinner.

The training is funded by the Erasmus+ Youth programme and includes your stay at the venue in single rooms with a private bathroom, all meals from Tuesday night until Sunday breakfast time and the reimbursement of your travel costs.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
