This training course provides an opportunity for youth workers, young people, trainers, youth leaders to acquire artistic skills (sound, physical theatre, movement) in a rural context to use them in their local context.
PARTICIPANT’S PROFILE
We are looking for youth workers, artists, musicians, performers, trainers, educators, and youth leaders with the following characteristics: Interested in applying artistic skills in their organisations. Possess fluency in English to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
OBJECTIVES
Skill Development: Equip participants with foundational sound and physical theatre skills (e.g., movement, theatre, music) that can be easily integrated into youth programs.
Empowerment: Foster confidence and self-expression among youth workers and young people through hands-on Performing arts activities, encouraging creativity and teamwork.
Community Engagement: Provide tools for participants to utilize arts skills as a means of engaging and inspiring local youth, promoting social inclusion and collaboration.
Cultural Exchange: Encourage sharing of experiences and ideas among participants from different backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and mutual learning.
Fun and Enjoyment: Emphasize the importance of enjoyment and play in learning, encouraging a positive and supportive environment for both participants and the young people they work with.

Link is an organization founded in 2003 and based in
Altamura (South of Italy). Through its activities, Link offers opportunities for non-formal education, mobility and intercultural exchange to young people, giving concrete answers to training needs, personal growth and the practice of active citizenship to young people and adults.
In recent years, Link has been focusing its work on various issues, including mental health, environmental sustainability, combating social inequality, promoting reading.
The tools used revolve around forms of artistic expression (music, theatre videomaking), but also the organization of public events, nature-based activities, role-playing and simulation exercises, and other approaches typical of nonformal education.
